do flouride in tooth paste damages health?
March 10th, 2010i have recently received an e-mail saying that fluoride damages health seriously on frequent usage… and is there any toothpaste that is free of fluoride and available in Malaysia?
Fluoride makes your teeth more brittle. Fluoride is found in nature, but is in trace quantities. It is definitely NOT good for you and people who promote it’s use to prevent cavities are ignorant and are listening to indoctrination, not scientific facts.
Fluoride depletes the body of iodine and in fact, when it was first used in water supplies, many children developed goiters. This is when iodized salt was introduced to solve the problem, but instead it created many other problems. The fluoride used to pollute water supplies comes from the fertilizer industry and is classified as a toxic waste.
Fluoride is one of the most toxic poisons on earth and if you read the label on a toothpaste that contains it, you will see that it clearly states to keep out of reach of children. This is because if they were to eat it, they would most likely die. Yet, to listen to the indoctrination that goes on, you would think fluoride was the savior of tooth health, when, in fact it is NOT. You will also notice, the people promoting it have a financial interest in doing so.
There are a few toothpastes in America that do NOT have that junk in them, like Peelu to name one. It is a great toothpaste and also does NOT contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that is also a real bad guy. The reason it is put in toothpaste is to cause sudsing. It opens the pores of the tissue in the mouth and allows germs, etc. to get into the body in that location.
An interesting fact is that primitive people did NOT have cavities, NO plaque build up on their teeth, and resistant to diseases. They did NOT brush their teeth. If you look at their skeletons, NO tooth decay and great jaw formations.
good luck to you
What causes teeth to become crooked at a young age?
March 10th, 2010I have noticed that most babies have straight teeth but sometimes when they get older and get their milk teeth out, their adult teeth get crooked. Why is that?Is it because of genetics or something else?
It’s related to the size of your jaw and the size of your teeth, so it all boils down to genetics
In a baby, the jaw is small and the teeth are small. But this is highly variable as one grows older and get permanent dentition.
Will fillings in between my teeth be visible?
March 10th, 2010I want to get the tooth colored fillings for the cavities in between my teeth, but am not sure if my healthy kids (gold) insurance would pay for that. So if I ended up with silver would they be visible? I’m not sure if there are any in my front teeth, as they didn’t tell me where they are, but I don’t think they are. I still don’t want them to be seen, though. So if you know whether or not the in between fillings will be visible or if healthy kids gold would pay for white filling, answers will be greatly greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
Nope. Iv had it done 3 times. If you do get colored ones, it will show up. But its PAINLESS! Hope I helped!!

I’m a 24 yr old female, and I am looking for health insurance.?
March 10th, 2010I’m single and I don’t have any kids, so I just need something to cover the basics like medical and dental and at a somewhat decent price. What do you suggest? Which health insurance provider do you use? What do you like or not like about them?
The basics, with a low deductible, no dental and no vision, are going to run you around $250 a month. I haven’t seen a private dental or vision policy that pays out more than it costs.
I’d suggest you get quotes from a local, independent agent who can help you weigh coverages, deductibles, and cost. Buying off the internet is a great way to get scammed.

Should I sue my dentist for his negligence?
March 10th, 2010My three year old daughter had a cavity in her molar teeth and we noticed swelling on her right face. We recently moved to this place, so contacted a family friend who is a regular visitor (for 7-8 years) to this famous dental group in Chicago suburbs. After initial X-Rays and analysis, the dentist recommended immediate removal of daughters tooth before it becomes worse…so far so good and I gave OK to do so. Dentist numbed my daughters mouth and started working and I was asked to leave the exam room. After 15 minutes, the dentist told me in private that the tooth was extracted but it was swallowed by my daughter. The dentist was tensed and told me that this never happened in their facility before. He also said he is looking into to the protocols need to be followed in this matter. I was shocked and upset with what he said but I was more worried about my kids health. Then he sent us to a nearby hospital (emergency care) for X-Rays of both heart and stomach. **He agreed to take care of any expenses incurred due to this.
After 4 long hours of trauma, X-Ray results showed that the tooth is in the stomach. Then the dentist called us to inform that nothing to be worried and the tooth should come out in 3-5 days and it’s not required to watch the stools every time. Even though he is not serious, we insisted for another XRay in next 3-4 days.
I still have no idea how this can happen? The tooth is a front tooth and there is no way it can be swallowed. This IS a PURE negligence by dentist.
The tooth is still inside the stomach. What are my options now?
1. If the tooth comes out in a day or two (from today – 11/06/2009), do i still have to worry about any future side affects? My kids health is what matters right now, not punishing the dentist or getting money from him.
2. During the initial diagnosis, dentist also said there is another tooth with a small cavity on the other side of the mouth and that needs to be analyzed/replaced next week. With all this happened, i am not sure if i can go there again.
Thx.
Teeth are like bones, and one so small as a three year olds front tooth is tiny. What harm could it do? It will just pass through.
Suing the dentist will probably get you no where, you probably signed documents before the procedure saying you waive your right to sue etc. if something goes wrong, and I hardly see it as negligence.
I’d be more worried about the condition of your daughters mouth! I have never heard of a three year old with cavities before! What do you feed her? That is terrible! Do you make her brush her teeth? I suggest you start enforcing dental hygiene and put her on a diet! What if these were her adult teeth? Do you want her to wear false teeth at age 6? I am just astonished!
who is responsible for paying health insurance for a child in a divorce?
March 10th, 2010If the court orders that I pay a certain amount in child support and that both the petitioner and respondent each pay 50% of all unreimbursed medical, dental and orthodontia expenses incurred on behalf of the minor, does that mean that we are both responsible for half of the health and dental insurance?
I would think who ever can get it the cheapest. Surely you would want your own child have medical coverage. 50/50 sounds fair if you have 50/50 time with the boy. If not then I think whoever has him and is actually the parent (you can’t be a parent when you are with him only four days a month) should pick up the medical tab. After all they are the ones who will be making the medical decisions.
has anyone ever used Ameriplan dental, health, and vision insurance before?is it legit?
March 10th, 2010they supposedly give you fat discounts on vision, dental, and health, and even life insurance.even though they are not an insurance(they send you a card looks like a debit card in the mail and you have coverage the very next day) just a company that works with doctors and other companies that are willing to give you discounted prices.does anyone know of any other insurance that is very low-cost?websites?thanks!
You should read the Federal Trade Commission warning on my site about discount companies. If you end up in a hospital you’ll still be responsible for the majority of the bill which could run many thousands of dollars.
Buy health insurance. A high deductible plan is cheaper than most discount plans and covers more of the risk. Discount plans for dental are fine because nobody has lost a home having to pay for a root canal (in other words, most dental issues cost less than $1,000…a heart attack can run in the hundreds of thousands). For vision…go to WalMart. $85 gets you a full exam and contact fitting.
Oh, and most importantly, you should keep in mind that insurance usually ALREADY gives you these discounts and in some cases the discounts are greater than many discount plans.
How to keep kids entertained in dental offices?
March 10th, 2010Hello,
Besides toys, children’s books, and cartoons, what else are effective in keeping children entertained in dental offices?
If we were to put up digital signage (digital posters on LCD screen), what kind of material will keep kids entertained? We don’t want to play cartoons to the kids. We want to display materials that are related to dental but yet attract the kids that they will want to look at it.
Should we play some animations/flash videos of kids brushing their teeth, flossing, etc? Will these be enough to keep the children occupied?
Thanks!

have you considered computers with dental related games on them? even things like dental trivia. how many dental tools can you locate in the screen in 30 secs…..
