How to keep kids entertained in dental offices?
Hello,
Besides toys, children’s books, and cartoons, what else are effective in keeping children entertained in dental offices?
If we were to put up digital signage (digital posters on LCD screen), what kind of material will keep kids entertained? We don’t want to play cartoons to the kids. We want to display materials that are related to dental but yet attract the kids that they will want to look at it.
Should we play some animations/flash videos of kids brushing their teeth, flossing, etc? Will these be enough to keep the children occupied?
Thanks!
Welton
have you considered computers with dental related games on them? even things like dental trivia. how many dental tools can you locate in the screen in 30 secs…..
maybe something interactive for the kids, like a video of kids "talking" to the kids in your office…they could ask questions, sing songs or whatever about oral care and what not. My childs dentist has a huge beautiful fish tank with turtles and exotic fish that all the kids seem to huddle around while Im there so that might be an idea too

If you really want to keep the kids entertained, hire somebody to be an entertainer. Maybe even have a large-toothed animal. The entertainer will be completely interactive because s/he’s a real person and s/he can teach kids out dental care using the animal as a prop.
