Kids and Teeth Brushing?
Whats worse…arguing everyday to force them to brush? Or just letting them get away with not doing it?
We tried everything from getting the singing tooth brushes, to the blue mouth rinse. And ours just doesn’t want to brush her teeth. Her excuse: She just doesn’t feel like it, maybe tomorrow.
If we make her do it she tries all the tricks in the book. Closing the door and running the water. Licking toothpaste but not actually brushing. Rinsing with Listerine (ours) and say that she brushed because her breath doesn’t smell. Or sometimes she will just sit, with the tooth brush in her mouth, but not actual brush her teeth.
I thought maybe reverse psychology…no she just doesn’t brush her teeth. She just lost a tooth, and put it under her pillow. I’m thinking about not giving her money, and when she gets upset telling her the tooth fairy must not want dirty teeth.
Other than physically standing in the bathroom EVERY time she brushes, I don’t know what else to do?
Keep arguing with her. Just not letting her brush is bad it could carry on in life and she could end up having to have false teeth at a young age because of it.
Well if she likes music and stuff like that you could get her that tooth-tunes toothbrush and maybe she will brush her teeth.I am not sure if she will though.
