shouldn’t I be able to get medicaid for my son whom I have custody of but am not the biological father?

I am a single father. I have custody of my 2 kids. One of which is not mine biologically. Have no idea who biological father is.(I am his dad and will continue to be). The mother was ordered to pay support and I do sometimes see some but it is not enough to afford health insurance. I have insurance on my daughter and dental on both. Can not afford health on both. Social Services say I make to much money to be able to get medicaid for my son. I do love him like he is mine but I don’t understand. Don’t foster parents get government assistance? Hopefully soon I will be able to afford it. Its sad that people that actually could use the help can’t get it!
my ex said she was pregnant by me. we got married. She had the baby. I signed the birth certificate. Weeks passed and I realized the baby was mixed and had to get a DNA test to prove I was not the biological father. Again I do love him like he is mine! So he does have my last name. The insurance I have on my daughter is through my job. Cost is not to bad for one but its shoots sky high for the "kids" plan.

It is sad. That’s why the Health care Bill will help.

If you have legal custody of this boy, you can get medicaid for him.

Thank God he has you.

New blue listerine mouthwash?

I’ve seen commercials for this new listerine mouthwash that stains the plaque on your teeth blue, so that you can see where the plaque is. The commercial seems to be aimed at kids’ dental health. Has anyone tried it yet?
I remember taking that tablet in school once too, and the commercial made me think of the same thing.

I’m 16 and I use it. It works great. I love it because it tells me where to give extra attention. It’s quite cool and fun.
