Can a tooth infection cause other health problems?

I have a rotten black tooth and it is only mildly hurting, not bad at all but I can taste the infection. I am not swollen at all though. Can swallowing the infection make other things unhealthy?

yes. your mouth is the gateway to the body, it is connected to everything. you can get sick easier because your body is trying to fight the infection in your tooth and can’t fight the illness.

your mouth is very close to your brain, infection can spread there.

the infection can get into your blood stream and travel anywhere, heart, etc…

long story short, you could die.

  1. yes,,it is not a good thing for you to let that go,,,,I have heard that infected teeth can cause MAJOR health problems,,even death,,,that’s when I took action and got my rotten tooth pulled. I felt alot healthier after wards too,,,like easier to be happy,,,kind of hard to explain,,but I noticed a difference in my overall health.

  4. The infection can get into your bloodstream, causing major problems and even loss of life in extreme cases… please have that tooth taken care of and get on some antibiotics…asap.
